The 60 fine historic cars comprise one of the UK's best private collections H&H, Europe's largest specialist historic car auction house, is to auction the Dick Van Dijk Collection - quite simply 60 of the finest collectors' cars of their type ever assembled in the UK. This very special sale is slated to take place in September - date and venue to be advised.

There is something for everybody in this eclectic selection. Obvious star entries include: *1931 Mercedes-Benz 370S Mannheim Cabriolet. Finished in red and black, this sensational vehicle (one of only a handful made) has featured in the Heidelberg Concours and carries an estimate of £150,000-£250,000.

*1926 Hispano Suiza H6B Landaulet. Finished in Black and yellow. Estimate: £120,000-150,000 *1936 Jaguar SS100. An immaculate black example with great history. Estimate: £110,000-£130,000 *1935 Auburn Boat-tail Speedster. Yellow coachwork. Superb. Estimate: £75,000-£100,000 *1937 Cord 812 Supercharged Cabriolet. Black with beige disappearing hood. Estimate: £70,000-£90,000

Other American marque entries include: another Auburn Speedster, a Cadillac Fleetwood V12 Sports Roadster, Corvette, Thunderbird and Shelby Mustang GT500. Among the many classic British models on offer are: five further Jaguars, two Aston Martins, a pair of Alvises, a brace of Jensens, four Triumphs, a Frazer Nash TT Replica and a Ford RS 200.

The sale cars on offer comprise the majority of those currently owned by successful Dutch businessman Dick Van Dijk. The collection was amassed over many years, for the last eight of which it has been housed at a fifteenth century moated house in Kent. Van Dijk is now moving to the USA in order to expand his wood fibre business, Tech-Wood - hence the sale.
