Prop Gethin Jenkins has warned there can be no repeat of Wales' last performance in Italy. Wales were humbled in that Six Nations clash and Jenkins reckons that if Wales don't give it 100 per cent they will come unstuck on Saturday.

He said: "We've got to come down from Saturday's high as this is a massive game for us. "It is all very well beating England but it will count for nothing if we lose on Saturday.

"I was out there two years ago and I remember the game and losing out there really hurt and I don't want to be going through that again.

"We've done a lot of analysis work and watched their game at the weekend and we are under no illusions as to what type of game to expect.

"They will be strong and physical and if we don't give it 100% then we'll come unstuck." But having coped with the likes of Julian White, Graham Rowntree and Phil Vickery last Saturday then Italy at the weekend should be straightforward.

Jenkins said: "A lot was made of the battle between the English and Welsh front row, and it was as tough as I expected.

"I'm still bruised now, but we coped and more than held our own and that will give us confidence going into this weekend in what will be another tough forward battle."

Meanwhile, outside-half Stephen Jones has insisted that he will continue to take Wales' short-range penalties, despite Gavin Henson's heroics on Saturday.

He said: "We've spoken about it and the policy will remain the same.

"Gavin will take the long-range and I'll take the short-range and I think it worked quite well.

"We might try to mix kicks out of hand a bit more because we saw in the Ireland game that they struggled with distance, because of the conditions.

"So maybe Gavin will give us the option of more distance."
