And that's what you need to remember, the XJR may be big - but its the manageable muscle bike.

The purest technology for maximum effect: Naked muscle bikes don't come tricker than the XJR1300. This streetruling motorcycle may be stripped bare of all the stuff you don't really need, but it comes packed with cutting-edge Yamaha technology. In other words, the XJR is minimum fat for maximum muscle, minimum fuss for maximum effect. Ride it and feel the power.

That engine is big indeed. Almost thirteen hundred cc's of Yamaha power delivers a hulking 106.2 Nm of torque at just 6,500 rpm which equals as much arm-stretching performance as you can handle. And if you can keep your cool, so can the XJR because it uses tough forged pistons and an efficient oil cooler to keep its head. The XJR's chassis is every bit as imposing as its motor. The rugged tubular steel frame wraps around the inline four to deliver solid handling and excellent manoeuvrability, aided an abetted by a mighty box-section aluminium swingarm.

Because we designed the XJR1300 to handle the turns, we didn't cut corners on its suspension. Up front we've specified stiff 43 mm forks, at the back we've gone for ultra-trick piggy-back hlins shocks. The XJR's brakes are muscular too - monobloc four-piston calipers grab 298 mm floating front discs for potent stopping power. Comprehensive analogue dash panel, large diameter single headlight and heaps of chrome complete the XJR's classically cool look for a fastmoving world. And to make sure your XJR doesn't move when you don't want it to, it's got a factoryfitted ignition immobiliser as standard.
