MONO has covered every step of the rise so far of Welsh electronic artist Kid Carpet.

This month the Cardiff-based musical prankster is on his first ever headline tour of the UK.

He can be found laying his warped sounds on the already fevered brows of his fans in Moloko, Cardiff on Wednesday, May 11 and Fiddlers, Bristol on Saturday, May 21.

Apparently, Kid Carpet is very, very excited about the shows and he's taking his plastic guitars and bag of toys on the road with him.

Kid Carpet recently played live with the Arcade Fire and The Go Team and last week finished touring on the road warming up for his pal Willy Mason. The tour saw Kid Carpet win over hundred's of new fans with his guitar solos and wry observation.

The Kid is preparing for a very busy summer where he'll also be making appearances at Homelands, Glastonbury, V2005, Isle Of Wight Festival, Summer Sundae and the Fujirock festival in Japan.

Kid Carpet's single Your Love was released in April on Tired And Lonesome and has been on regular rotation on Steve Lamacq, Rob Da Bank and Huw Stephens' shows on Radio 1.

His debut album, Ideas And Oh Dears, will follow in July.
