THE family of a teenager who died a week after a car accident in Oakdale have paid tribute to their "beloved daughter".

Natasha Davies, 19, from Blackwood, died at the University Hospital of Wales in Cardiff in the early hours of Monday morning.

Yesterday relatives said in a statement that Natasha would be greatly missed by her family, including parents Debra and John and her younger brothers and sister Sally, Shaun and Jack.

They said she would also be missed by her many friends. "Natasha had an outgoing, friendly and bubbly personality and was loved by many," they added.

She was among five young people involved in the accident in Penmaen Road on April 3, which happened when a Vauxhall Corsa left the road and collided with a post.

A 20-year-old man, Nicky Porter, from Hengoed, whose fiance is expecting their child, died at the scene of the accident. Floral tributes have now been laid.

Another man remains in the University of Wales Hospital, where he was said to be in a comfortable and stable condition yesterday.

One other is said to be stable at the Royal Gwent Hospital in Newport. Another woman has now been moved to a ward at that hospital. Gwent Police said yesterday they are still investigating the collision. Anyone who witnessed the accident should contact them on 01633 838111, or the accident investigation unit on 01633 643091.
