FRESH rom their acclaimed appearances at Glastonbury and T in the Park festivals, The Bees call on Cardiff uni as part of their autumn tour. The 22-date jaunt is in support of their rather excellent new album, Free The Bees and the third single to be lifted from it, the weird, wonderful and totally irresistible Chicken Payback, out now.

It's typical of the sound fans have come to expect from The Bees who are like a sunny afternoon on a dark and stormy day.

Their ethos of sunshine everyday and non-muddy rural aesthetics comes from their beloved homeland on The Isle Of Wight a festival at which they played this summer.

Expected picked electric guitars, whispered vocals and a greenhouse full of electronic gizmos.

In Cardiff they will be supported by the very promising outfit called Little Barrie.

They are fronted by Barry Cadogan who recently stood in for Morrissey's guitarist throughout some of his summer shows.

The Bees and Little Barrie play Cardiff uni on Sunday, October 17.
