A CWMBRAN store manager has won a trip to New York after her shop finished in the top four of a UK-wide analysis.
Val Mainwaring runs The Body Shop on Monmouth Walk and she will fly out to NYC on September 8 for a week-long stay.
Ms Mainwaring said: "Body Shop ran a competition to find the top performing stores and we finished in the top four.
"It's the second year the competition has been run in the UK and the results are based on customer service and mystery shoppers' visits.
She said she would love to take the shop's team of six staff with her as "the success is down to all the hard work they have put in".
During the US trip Ms Mainwaring will have the opportunity to visit the New York Body Shop.
"I'm really looking forward to finding out how their working methods differ from ours and I hope to pick up some ideas to bring back to Cwmbran with me."
