SUNNY weather is good news for a Caerphilly-based company making conservatory blinds.

The hot weather has sent homeowners scurrying to All Seasons Blinds to keep the sun's rays at bay.

Theresa Hill and Sarah Roberts set up All Seasons after working for a local blinds manufacturer.

The women decided to go it alone with help from Caerphilly council. The authority provided an economic development grant to help get the business off the ground and the future is looking good.

Ms Hill said: "Orders are building up at a steady rate, especially at this time of year, so we are obviously delighted with the success of the business.

"We would like to thank Caerphilly county borough council and Venture Wales for the help and support they have given us over the last few months."

Councillor and cabinet member Robert Gough said: "Starting a new business is always a daunting prospect, but Theresa and Sarah seem to have got it right and I hope their success continues.

"The council is always eager to help new and established businesses with a range of grants and other support services."
