GWENT funeral directors got on their bikes for charity and joined a chain of their colleagues across the UK.
Wendy Warren, funeral arranger at Robert Howells and Sons in Caldicot, cycled to TJ Davies in Newport, while staff in Newport cycled to Cardiff. Wendy said: "Our company was doing it for all the local hospices and we all linked up.
"We went to Newport, the Newport office cycled to Cardiff, and so on. "The distance I covered was about 14 or 15 miles.
"The last time I got on a bike was about 40 years ago so my legs were a bit wobbly by the end of the day, but I managed.
"It was hard and we had to stop for a rest once or twice. Myself, I raised about £110 for St Anne's Hospice and there were others right across South Wales and the West Country.
"But I won't be getting on my bike again - I think it was a one-off for me!"
