Mrs Mop has had a makeover and is coming to a home near you.
Newportonian Jeff Williams has recently been awarded a Molly Maid home cleaning franchise. He is pictured here with three of his staff.
Molly Maid was founded in Canada in 1978 and is based on the concept of uniformed, full-time staff employed by the franchise boss rather than the homeowners they clean for.
Molly Maids work in teams of two, drive company cars and use the company's own cleaning tools and products.
Mr Williams has already secured around 80 Gwent customers.
He said: " We don't have an hourly rate, we quote by the job."
He believes he can compete on quality, care and value.
The former Newport housing officer and Wiltshire policeman previously ran another cleaning franchise involving part-time workers but says he feels full-timers are crucial to maintain a quality service.
