CWMBRAN Town benefactor John Colley is considering'' his future at the club after another "kick in the teeth".

Torfaen County Borough Council have told the League of Wales side they have to be off their Cwmbran Stadium pitch by Sunday for a new running track to be laid.

That leaves them to play three 'home' league games and a 'home' League Cup fixture on someone else's ground if they are to fulfil their fixtures.

They hope to play the matches at Barry Town's Jenner Park ground, but have not yet been able to agree dates.

It is the second time for Cwmbran to be removed from the stadium. "It's all quite farcical and makes me wonder if there is any point in me carrying on after so many kicks in the teeth," said Colley, the club's chairman who has almost single-handedly financed them for the past 13 years.

"We were thrown out of the ground in February 2001, yet the redevelopment work did not start for months afterwards and we could have, in fact, completed our fixtures there. "Instead we had to play our last 14 matches away from home and that has cost us £100,000, an amount a club like ours cannot afford.

"When we returned to the Stadium over halfway through this season we thought that was it, and were then told to move out with a week.

"Now we have a chance of reaching the Intertoto Cup (and a guarantee of £24,000) and we have to play away from home again.

"There is only so much you can take and makes me wonder how long I can go on."
