THE multi-million pound redevelopment programme at Cwmbran Stadium has deprived the Crows of their normal training facilities over the past 15 months - and how it's starting to show.

Last Saturday, the Gwent outfit gifted visiting Bangor City all their goals in a 6-3 victory and although they tightened up considerably against the champions yesterday, sadly it wasn't enough.

Four of Bangor's goals came from set-pieces, this time both Barry's efforts coming from similar passages of play.

Former Wales squad member Gary Lloyd benefited from the break-up of Cwmbran's defensive wall after Tom Ramasut had been needlessly fouled 20 yards out.

And the winner came from a corner just after the hour mark.

Lloyd received a return ball following a short corner, crossed for Jamie Moralle to flick on at the near post, and central defender Lee Phillips fired home from three yards.

"We got done by a couple of set pieces again and that's very disappointing after what happened on Saturday," said Crows boss Tony Willcox.

"I thought we deserved something out of the game, if only for shear effort and commitment. But we're lacking in certain areas and we've been punished accordingly in the past two matches."

Patched-up Cwmbran, minus six regulars, had done well to be level at the break, Chris Watkins magnificent 30-yard free kick cancelling out Lloyd's opener.

And midfielder Sean Mainwaring should have given Cwmbran the lead when he headed over from eight yards, although Michael Flynn passed up a much easier heading opportunity after Phillips' 65th-minute clincher.

Cwmbran, who host Rhyl on Saturday, remain in sixth position. And although there remains an outside chance of gaining a European spot by finishing third, inreality it appears far more likely that they will end the season in fifth place.
