CWMBRAN Town head coach Roger Gibbins (pictured) has told his side to just go out and enjoy themselves in their UEFA Cup tie against Slovan Bratislava.

Speaking to the side as they prepared to leave Heathrow Airport for their second leg clash in Slovakia, Gibbins also insisted that the Crows would be going out to win. "We are not here to just make up the numbers for the game," said Gibbins.

"This is an important game for us and while I want the players to appreciate that, I think they should also enjoy the whole experience of playing in Europe as well."

Town though have a point to prove after losing the first leg in Cardiff 4-0. And the feeling in the Cwmbran camp is that things would have been very different if they had had eleven men for the whole game.

"The boys are keen to go out and restore some of the club's pride," said Town midfielder Nathan Wigg.

"The loss at home was disappointing and you never know what might have happened if we'd been able to play the whole game with eleven men.

"Slovan Bratislava aren't unbeatable by any means and if we thought that then there would be no point us being here."

Gibbins too is keen for his side to remain positive and is upbeat about their chances. But he wants to remain realistic about the task ahead.

"Obviously we have to be realistic and you have to say overturning a 4-0 deficit looks highly unlikely," said the head coach.

"But you never know in football, anything can happen and we just have to give it our best shot.

"The most important thing is that we give a good account of ourselves and play as well as we can."

Cwmbran are boosted by the return of striker Craig Hughes as they look to attack as much as possible.
