NEWPORT County have completed the signings of impressive triallist trio Wayne O'Sullivan, Dominic Reece and Antonio Corbisiero as the final pieces of manager John Cornforth's Nationwide South jigsaw fall into place.

County kick-off their new season against Carshalton at Spytty Park on Saturday and the boss is delighted to have all three players on board.

"I am very pleased to get them," Cornforth said. "They are three quality players with pedigree, who have all really looked the part for us in pre-season and will be major aquisitions for us.

"Dominic Reece has done very well in the friendly matches and has worked his socks off in pre-season.

"Wayne O'Sullivan is a player who is really exciting and is a real pocket dynamo and he is just 20 years-old.

"Everybody knows how good Antonio Corbisiero is after what he did for us last season and everybody knows we have a quality player."

Former Swansea City midfielder Corbisiero revealed that he was glad to finally sort out his future.

"It is great to get everything sorted and I am just looking forward to the start of the season now," he said.

"Looking at the squad we have I don't see why we can stay around the top five all season and make a push for promotion.

"We have a great mixture of experience with the likes of Kwame Ampadu and Jason Bowen and youth like Matt Green and Wayne O'Sullivan.

"I can't wait for the season to get under way."

He added: "We had a great result last week against Worcester, one of the favourites for Nationwide North, so there is no reason we can't be confident about the year ahead.

The 20 year-old has been long-coveted by manager Cornforth and impressed during two loan spells last season before injury ended his season prematurely.

But now he is back to full fitness and raring to go.

"I feel really good," Corbisiero said. "I played 80 minutes last week and have trained very hard and I will be ready to go come Saturday.

"Hopefully I can do my best for the team and weigh in with my fair share of goals."

Full-back Reece is delighted to get his career back on track after a nightmare year last term.

"I was out with a knee injury and ended up playing for my local side in Birmingham," Reece said. "But it has been great to get a chance to come here and earn a deal and I am really enjoying it for the first time in years.

"I feel fit again and I can't wait for the start of the season."

He added: "We have a cracking bunch of lads here and I think we have the players that are capable of pushing for a play-off place."
