A new car supermarket was opened in Newport when Motorpoint opened its fourth and largest site.
The new 10-acre site on Queensway Meadow Industrial Estate has taken over the location formerly used by British Car Auctions and will create around 40 new jobs
Over seven years Motorpoint has sold more than 30,000 cars into Wales from their three sites in Derby, Burnley and Glasgow and managers hope that opening the Newport site will strengthen their relationship with Welsh car buyers.
Site manager Charles Faulkner said: "Our new site offers hundreds of cars and will house the equivalent of £4m - £5m-worth of vehicles!"
Motorpoint offers a guarantee of the lowest car prices in the country, sourcing its cars from mainland Europe and the Republic of Ireland.
There are Motorpoint outlets at Derby, Burnley and Glasgow, offering more than 3,000 vehicles, and accessories ranging from CD tuners and auto-changers to Smartnav and Tracker systems. Log onto www.motorpoint.co.uk for details.
