WEB HIT: Newport - Empire State of Mind
A spoof YouTube video about Newport has now been viewed by over 2.6 million people.
Newport Ymerodraeth State of Mind has made actors Terema Wainwright, 25 and Alex Warren, 23, and director MJ Delany, 24, over night sensations.
They performed at the re-opening of the city's transporter bridge on Friday and are also due to sing at the Ryder Cup gig at Cardiff's Millennium Stadium on September 29.
As well as the millions of people who have viewed the video on YouTube, over 7,500 people have signed up to a group on social networking site Facebook, called Ymerodraeth Newport State of Mind.
The song is a parody of Jay Z's number one hit Empire State of Mind, which was written about New York and features Alicia Keys.
