Former senior staff of a Tredegar furniture company were praised for "not giving up hope" and fighting to save 140 jobs.
Tafarnaubach Industrial Estate-based Desk-Link ceased trading at the start of this month, with all staff made redundant.
Blaenau Gwent AM Trish Law praised a small management team, that includes former managing director Mike Bugler and financial controller Ryan Howells, who she says are "working flat out" to find a new buyer for the business.
The company is owned by Staffordshire-based Business Fort Group, but the Desk-Link team are exploring whether it will be best to put the company into liquidation or if a new buyer can be found.
Ms Law said: "They are not giving up hope", adding: "They are determined to salvage something from the recent collapse of Desk-Link."
The AM held talks with Mr Bugler, who himself has been made redundant, and suggested the company could be a good proposition for potential investors as it has "a healthy order book".
Mr Bugler and the Desk-Link management team have shown people interested in buying the company around the site as well as speaking to proposed administrators.
