THE CIRCUS came to the city this weekend as part of Newport's Big Splash festival.
NoFit State Circus, from Cardiff, performed a mix of circus skills, comedy and music to round off the week-long event which has been taking place on both banks of the River Usk.
The Invisible Circus also showcased the cream of Bristol's circus and theatre talent with its Carny Village show at The Riverfront which included daredevil aerial feats, acro balance, dance and music.
Meanwhile, on the river, professional jet ski freestylers Xtreme Action Jet Skis added to the excitement with a breathtaking range of stunts and aerial acrobatics.
Long-time Blues Band bass player and singer-songwriter Gary Fletcher also performed at The Riverfront for the event which is part of the Newport Festival 2010 to celebrate the city's host status for the 2010 Ryder Cup.
