AN ARTS workshop is a hive of activity as volunteers prepare giant model bees and flowers for the Abergavenny Food Festival.
The sculptures, ranging in size from 50cm to two metres across, will be hung in the Market Hall for the two-day festival, which starts on September 18.
A group of around 40 volunteers will take three weeks to finish the 21 bees, a mixture of honey bees and bumblebees, made on a frame of cardboard and newspaper and covered in fabric.
Workshop leader at Arts Alive in Crickhowell, Bettina Reeves, said: "They're looking really good and we've had a fantastic response from the volunteers."
