A FORMER kennel maid of Saxon, the police dog branded "dangerous", says she would have no problem allowing the animal near her 18-month-old son.
Donna McLennan was an animal welfare officer at Gwent Police kennels in Glascoed on a temporary contract in 2004.
Saxon is now in danger of being put down after Gwent Police said he was "unsafe to work with".
But Ms McLennan said the dog was a "softy at heart" and that she would have no problem allowing the animal near her son, Camron.
