What really annoys me about the doctor's surgery that I went to was that whenever I have to go there, no matter how early I go, there's always so many people before me; arrrgggghhh...like soooo many meaning the double digits 12-13!!!

Maybe that's because you don't have to have an appointment though...ok now lemme get back to the cynical side of stuff again why I really hate the place...ahaan yes sireee!!!

The surgery I went to has a lot of people who's first language is not English, and it really vexes me that the receptionist seemed to think that just because someone can not articulate in the national language, as well as she would like them to, that she seems to see it fit to shout down the person's throat!

Not being able to understand what the receptionist is saying is probably hard enough for the person, who needs to be able to explain why she/he is here and which doctor they require not only that, but he/she has now had the 'fortunate pleasure' of having their confidence trampled all over!

Well done you!!!

I think that the receptionist must have understood the person to have been deaf, that explains why she had to shout loud enough, so the whole surgery could hear that she (if I may say so, stupidly) said the same sentence again...exactly the same...word for word, but just VERY MUCH LOUUDERR!!!

DO YOU UNDERSTAND???

oohh sorry I got a bit carried away then...oopppssie dazzzeyyy If one bothers to ponder the situation often (but not always) the person has limited English and is at the early stages of learning English...apologies miss receptionist, that inconveniently for you, he/she hasn't learnt the language quicker...ahem ahem however, maybe you yourself will bare that in mind the next time you go on holiday, where the national language is not English...watchya fink?

Let's just hope you're met with a friendlier response, more tolerance and patience at a doctor's reception desk!!!
