A CWM teenager is taking on the London Marathon to raise funds for a charity which has helped his younger brother.
Matthew Chaney, 19, will raise money for the National Autistic Society who have helped to provide for his 15-year-old brother Daniel.
Daniel, a pupil at Pen-y-Cwm special school, Ebbw Vale, suffers from autism and is registered with the charity.
Matthew will be joined by his two friends in the challenge, James Davies and Liam Lewis, both 20, of Ebbw Vale, who will raise money for MENCAP, a charity which helps people with learning disabilities.
Matthew said: "Daniel has been helped by the National Autistic Society in different ways such as with schooling and speech therapy. I wanted to raise funds for them to show my support and then James and Lewis said they would join me and fundraise for MENCAP."
The trio have already started training ahead of the big race on April 17.
