THE team behind a project to uncover the history of the buildings in Pontypool is appealing for local help.
Pontypool Townscape Community Project is searching for old photos, leases, house deeds, old wills and other documents that relate to the buildings in the area.
Their research is part of a two-year project which is taking place at Pontypool Museum and funded by the Heritage Lottery Fund.
Every business, home, school and shop in the area has a story to tell from the time it was built to the present day. The team is also looking at buildings that were demolished, and newly built properties.
