PARODY songs can be so hit and miss.

But make them as politically incorrect as possible and you should be on to a winner.

It’s a formula that’s worked well for Adam Kay, also known as Amateur Transplants, the doctor turned performer who despite becoming a YouTube sensation with 20 million hits is probably one of comedy’s best kept secrets.

Kay takes some of the best known songs and works in his own funny, often twisted, lyrics with genius effect.

Nobody escapes his cross fire and that’s what makes this one-hour show so enjoyable – a complete lack of any concern for anybody being offended.

Once you hear some of his reworking of songs from people like Lady GaGa and Kings of Leon, it’s hard to listen to the original track again without hearing Kay’s lyrics.

The crowd enjoyed every song – particularly an outrageous 20-second Bryan Adams parody – pointing to good things for his upcoming month-long stint at the Edinburgh fringe festival.

Seriously, catch Adam Kay when you can. Clever, massively politically incorrect and above all one of the funniest 60 minutes of comedy you could wish for.
