LEGALLY Blonde The Musical has already been a West End and Broadway sensation and is now set to be a hit during its tour.

The award-winning show based on the film starring Reese Witherspoon opened its doors on July 19 and suddenly the city became a much brighter place with all things pink and sparkly.

The critically acclaimed new musical comedy is an all-singing, all-dancing, energetic performance with catchy numbers, including Omigod You Guys, Bend and Snap and So Much Better as well as witty lines and speedy onstage costume changes.

The show tells the story of Elle Woods, a Barbie-esque girl from Malibu played by Faye Brookes who simply cannot take no for an answer.

Having been convinced her college sweetheart Warner (Hollyoaks star Neil Toon) was about to propose to her, she is unable to accept the reality of him dumping her to focus on his legal career and settle down with someone more serious.

In an attempt to win back her love, Elle manages to gain a place at Harvard and slowly starts swapping her California campus life for a world of books, study and justice, aided by her chihuahua bruiser.

Faye Brookes is a convincing fashion-conscious blonde who transforms into a fully-fledged lawyer with a style of her own.

She is joined by ex-Atomic Kitten Liz McClarnon as Paulette and West End legend Dave Willetts as Professor Callaghan.

But the show is almost stolen by a somewhat over-the-top deliveryman who had the audience in fits of laughter every time he delivered a package.

The show runs until August 6.
