A DARING fundraiser, who has already raised £31,000 for Cancer Research, completed a sponsored sky dive - and is already planning his next challenge.

Michael Williams, celebrated his 45th birthday 10,000ft above the ground, before launching himself out of a plane in a solo free fall dive to raise £700.

He said: “It was a bit frightening, I thought ‘you have got to be joking’. It’s not normal to jump out of a plane. But I think I would do it again now I know what to expect.”

But the former Welsh weightlifter, who has completed 20 sponsored truck and double-decker bus pulls in the past, is not stopping there and is already looking towards his next challenge, which will be his biggest yet.

The forklift truck driver is planning to pull a 30-tonne Harrier jump jet, which are six tonnes heavier than the 24 tonne trucks he is used to.

But Mr Williams, of Risca, is confident he can do it and is currently training for the venture will could take place in the next few months.

Mr Williams started fundraising in 1995 in memory of his dad Ron and mum Helen who both battled different forms of the disease.
