BABY triplets Sofia, Tilly and Poppy Vincent are finally setting into life at their Cwmbran home with proud parents Charlotte Cousins and Gareth Vincent after spending just over three weeks in a special care baby unit.

The triplets were born three weeks prematurely on September 27 at the Royal Gwent Hospital in Newport.

Poppy, who was the last of the triplets to be born weighing 3lbs 8oz, was taken straight to the high dependency unit.

Poppy's identical twin Sofia is the oldest and was the smallest of the triplets weighing just 2lbs 9oz when she was born.

Tilly weighed 3lbs 4oz and was the first of the triplets to be moved to Nevill Hall Hospital in Abergavenny where she was later joined by her two sisters.

But the triplets, who were naturally conceived, improved better than expected and were allowed home early on October 22.

Sofia now weighs 4Ibs 4oz, Tilly weighs 5Ibs 1oz and Poppy weighs 5Ibs 8oz.

Ms Cousins said the babies are fit and well but are still being visited by a special care baby nurse once a week.

The couple said they have had a lot of support from family and friends and thanked the special care baby units at both hospitals for their help.
