A £1 MILLION project to bring a block of Cwmbran flats up to the Welsh Housing Quality Standard will start this month.
Bron Afon Community Housing is starting work on Monmouth House – the high-rise block above shops in Cwmbran town centre. Over the next six months, windows will be replaced, external wall insulation will be applied, and the roof re-covered.
The work is designed to reduce residents’ heating bills, and many of the tenants will also get new kitchens and bathrooms.
