MONMOUTHSHIRE council is inviting Caldicot residents to do a post-Christmas house clearance and pick up a bargain by bringing useful, unwanted household items to a swapshop event at the Severn Bridge Social Club in Goldfinch Road.
To be held this coming Saturday from 10am to 2pm as part of the Welsh Government’s tidy towns initiative, the council is promoting recycling and reuse.
Participation is free and any items other than electrical goods can be offered provided they are non-hazardous and in reasonably good condition.
All residents are welcome to attend whether they bring anything or not. Articles can range from toys, books, clothing and bikes to small pieces of furniture, maps, garden tools or DVDs – anything that is no longer wanted but could be used by someone else.
People may leave items on the tables provided and assistance will be offered.
Contact tidy towns officer Alison Howard on alisonhoward@ monmouthshire.gov .uk or tel 01633 644844.
