CAERPHILLY council has created more than 100 apprentice and trainee jobs over the last three years.
Two thirds of the apprentice and trainee jobs promised over a three-year period by the council have been realised.
The scheme, with an investment of more than £500,000, has seen 107 young people start work in the last six months. At least another 43 posts are planned.
The council is committed to the programme for the next year.
Deputy leader councillor Colin Mann said: “The apprentice scheme has been a particular priority for this authority because we have been determined to give young people a good start in their working life.”
