TWO Newport men have been charged with theft of railway property following an incident near Bridgend on Tuesday.
Nicolas Cooper, 37, of Corn Brook Road, Bettws, and Peter Dodson, 53, of High Bank, Newport, were arrested along with Mathew Morgan, 32, of Chesterfield Street, Barry, and John Anthony Carroll, 38, of Washford Avenue, Llanrumney, after British Transport Police responded to a report of a suspected theft at a storage compound near the railway at Water Street, Pyle.
The four men were arrested at the scene and taken to Cardiff Bay Police Station.
They were later charged with theft of railway property.
They were released on bail with the condition they do not enter any railway property, and will appear at Bridgend Magistrates Court on March 9.
