SPECIAL CELEBRATION: Emma Hughes, 27, will sing at a St David’s Day concert at the Houses of Parliament
A RISCA woman will sing at the Houses of Parliament as part of St David’s Day celebrations.
Emma Hughes, 27, will perform solo, singing hymn Dros Gymru’n Gwlad, in a special concert held on March 1 in St Stephen’s Chapel.
Listeners will include Welsh Secretary, Cheryl Gillan and Speaker of the House of Commons, John Bercow.
Miss Hughes, who currently studies at Trinity Conservatoire of Music in London, is also a part-time lecturer in performing arts at Coleg Gwent.
She said: “I am really honoured and excited and very proud to be representing Wales.”
