A NEWPORT teacher is celebrating the launch of his fourth children’s book.

Just Imagine by Paul Manship, a teacher at Millbrook Primary School, Bettws, was launched at the beginning of this month.

Aimed at nine to 13-year-olds, the book tells the tale of Ellis, who lacks in imagination, and best friend Jay, who is always making things up.

The pair are visited at their school by a famous storyteller called Dylan Morgan, based on the author Daniel Morden, who has visited Millbrook Primary several times.

The two are sucked into Dylan’s stories and encounter characters from well-known fairytales but also become involved in a dangerous quest which they need all their imagination to survive.

Mr Manship, whose other books include Rewind, The Cube and Dear Mr Author, won the award from the Welsh Books Council for Dear Mr Author.

A special launch of his latest book, which is published by Gomer Press, was held at the school where Mr Manship signed and sold copies.

He will also be signing copies at Waterstones stores in Newport on April 7, in Abergavenny on April 14 and in Cardiff on April 21, all from 11am until 2pm.
