THE rush has started in earnest to watch local sporting history in the making.
Tickets are now on sale for the FA Trophy Final, which will see Newport County play at Wembley Stadium for the first time in their 100-year history.
County season ticket holders have quite rightly been given the first chance to buy tickets for the May 12 showpiece.
While there was plenty of interest from these diehard fans yesterday, we suspect there will be some substantial queues at County’s Spytty Park HQ on Friday when tickets go on general sale.
We anticipate County will have little trouble selling their 15,000 allocation; such is the desire of Newportonians to say “I was there”.
