YES, I remember Newport County playing at the Parade in 1939, but I can’t remember who they played against.
Thereafter, they played at Rexville (Lovell’s). I can also remember the Parade was noted for tattoos, gymkhanas, tennis tournaments, school sports days.
Glamorgan used to play there. Joe Lowe, world heavyweight boxer boxed there and Oral Roberts Evangelist preached there.
