A GWENT artist has combined his two passions to create his latest masterpiece - the Fighting Irishmen.
Former boxer Patrick Killian from Abercarn was commissioned to produce an oil painting for boxing exhibition to be held in New York.
The painting will be used as a poster to advertise the Fighting Irishmen: A Celebration of the Celtic Warrior exhibition at the Irish Arts Centre this month.

The 31-year-old who was himself an amateur boxing champion was only too pleased to be involved.
The oil painting took four months to complete and hours of research went into the piece.
