RESIDENTS and drivers in Gwent are being urged to remain vigilant as more heavy rain is forecast for today and tomorrow.
The Environment Agency Wales forecast heavy rain, which could lead to localised flooding in Newport, Blaenau Gwent, Torfaen, Monmouthshire and Caerphilly.
The Agency warned the main danger comes from flooding on roads from drains which have been blocked by leaves.
Drivers are also being urged to take extra care as conditions are likely to be particularly hazardous.
People are advised to keep an eye on the forecast, and to listen to local news bulletins for details of any disruption in their area, including flood alerts, which could escalate to flood warnings.
For the latest on flood alerts and warnings go to www.environment-agency.gov.uk/flood or call Floodline on 0845 988 1188.
