The Newport & Monmouthshire board of Young Enterprise UK in association with Island Opera really has something to sing about in terms of fund raising.
The black tie charity event at The Hilton Newport, on Friday, November 29, will raise funds to help support the Young Enterprise UK and local schools taking part in the scheme.
The event will be staged at the Severn Suite, which will be transformed into a red carpet musical extravaganza for the evening.
Lewis Lewis, of Newport & Monmouthshire Board of Young Enterprise, said: “Island Opera was founded in 2009 by husband and wife Tom and Rhona Colwell. Island Opera along with its members from The Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama, offer high class classical vocal entertainment.
“Among the music that will feature during the evening will be songs from Les Miserables, well known opera pieces, such as The Flower Duet and more contemporary music such as an acapella version of Tonight from West Side Story.”
To continue with theme of opera, the Severn Suite is being designated into Balcony, Grand and Royal Circle packages. Lewis said the evening was close to being sold out with just a few tables remaining to be filled with prices starting from as little as £46 per person including five course meal.
