A small media agency in Torfaen has recently produced a video advert to promote a new Marilyn Monroe fragrance.

Luminous Media, a design, marketing, and video company, were approached to produce a motion graphic video for the new fragrance ‘How to Marry a Millionaire’.

Luminous Media director Martin Downes, from Pontypool, said: “It is a massive honour for a local Welsh company to be able to produce a video for a product like this.

"As you can imagine, there are very strict guidelines for using images of a Hollywood legend like Marilyn Monroe.

"We came up with a storyboard for the motion graphic video that drew on elements from the movie as well as showcasing the fabulously designed fragrance bottle.

"Video is a powerful medium to engage online audiences and it will increasingly become a key part of any digital marketing strategy for businesses of all sizes.”

The opportunity to produce the video came after Twentieth Century Fox Consumer Products developed a new collection based on the portfolio of 12 Hollywood film titles featuring Marilyn Monroe.

Bristol-based fragrance specialist Designer Fragrances then launched the ‘How to Marry a Millionaire’ inspired women’s fragrance, and gift sets, into stores across Europe.

The company already produces fragrances for Kelly Brook, Katie Price, Alex Curran, and CBB star Calum Best.

With online sales and marketing a huge feature for any new product, Designer Fragrances were looking for a media company with the expertise to produce a video fit for a Hollywood icon. With a wide background in digital media and motion graphics Luminous Media were approached with a brief to create motion graphic video advert. ‘How to Marry a Millionaire’ is available to buy in local high street stores and online.
