St John’s College has opened a new sixth form centre at Eastern Business Park, Old St Mellons.
This is a realisation of the college’s long-term vision that education should prepare students for university and the world of work in a global, 21st Century.
St John’s College is one of the top-performing independent schools in Wales.
The sixth form centre was officially opened by the Lord Mayor of Cardiff, Cllr Dianne Rees.
The centre is the culmination of a three-year strategic plan to build on its reputation. This new initiative will provide a first-class teaching environment, enhanced by opportunities for digital learning through state-of-the-art digital screens and a suite of Google Chromebooks.
Headmaster Shaun Moody said: “In addition to the main site facilities, sixth formers at St John's College will enjoy a campus-style environment with a distinct modern and professional atmosphere.”
