The Torfaen Women in Business event is now in its sixth year and provides an opportunity to celebrate the contribution that women make to the business community.

The speaker at this year's event, on November 8, will be Jenny Evans, winner of the 2017 Santander Universities Entrepreneurship Awards and founder of Welsh business Jenny Kate Ltd, which offers a collection of luxury soft-furnishings and fabrics.

Gaynor Wakeling, business support manager at Torfaen Economy & Enterprise, Torfaen council, said: “We are delighted to be welcoming Jenny to be our speaker this year and I am sure this young, enthusiastic entrepreneur will be a huge inspiration to women who are either in business or considering setting up an enterprise.”

With its well-established venue at Cwmbran Parkway Hotel & Spa, attendance at the event usually exceeds well over 100- female delegates from across the south east Wales area.

Not only will attendees hear from great speakers but they will also have plenty of opportunities for networking and to shop at the trade tables. A high tea will also be served.

This year the event will be supporting Teenage Cancer Trust.
