Pontypool business Osborne Lodge Nursery, which is celebrating its 20th anniversary this year, has recently received a number of awards.

These have included highly commended by Wales PPA Quality for All Award for the fourth year running and receiving a five rating for food standards.

Nikola Masters, owner of the nursery, said: “It has been a fantastic year for us and I am delighted with the recognition we have received.

"We have also had two volunteer of the month awards from Friends of Pontypool Town for Lisa Jones, our officer in charge, and the children of the nursery for their help in keeping the town environment clean and litter free.

"On top of that we have been chosen as a Small Business Saturday ambassador – one of just 100 small businesses across the UK chosen to represent the value of small businesses, shopping local and highlighting Pontypool town as a viable place to trade and visit.”

Councillor Alan Jones, executive member for business, culture, leisure and tourism at Torfaen County Borough Council, said: “These are well deserved awards for this long established, hard working and thriving nursery setting in Torfaen. Congratulations to Nikola and her team for their successes and I wish them all the best for the future.”

Osborne Lodge Nursery is based on Osborne Road Pontypool and caters for babies from six-weeks-old to preschool children.
