Welsh employer Admiral Group, which has a base in Newport city centre, has been recognised as a “great place to work” for the 17th consecutive year.
The company, which employs about 1,000 people in Newport alone, was named the fourth Best Super Large Workplace (1,000+ employees) in the UK by the Great Place to Work Institute at a recent awards ceremony.
Admiral Group CEO David Stevens said: “Our placing on the Great Place to Work Best Workplaces list is based on feedback from our staff which makes this accolade particularly rewarding. And to have been recognised every year since 2003 is incredible.
“Our success as a business, as well as in this competition, is down to every person who works for Admiral and I cannot thank them enough for everything they do to make it such a fantastic place to work.”
Admiral employs almost 11,000 members of staff in eight different countries across the world, employing nearly 7,400 people in Cardiff, Swansea and Newport alone.
Great Place to Work is a worldwide consultancy specialising in workplace culture, helping organisations to create exceptional, high performing workplaces where employees feel trusted and valued.
