Hair and beauty training specialist ISA Training hosted an awards ceremony which saw learners and employers in the sector come together and celebrate the huge successes that have been achieved.

The ISA Restyle Awards were held as the business, which became part of the Educ8 family at the start of 2019, unveiled its new branding and digital identity.

Simone Hawken, internal quality practitioner manager at ISA, said: “We work closely with employers to help their businesses grow and prosper. We help them recruit apprentices and develop these learners over time in order to advance their own careers as well as the development of their employers.

"We have had so many apprentices who have gone on to run their own salons; it’s an honour to be involved in such an incredible industry and these awards were about praising the hard work and dedication from learners and employers alike.”

The ISA Restyle Awards saw the business publicly reveal its new branding, website and Restyle magazine. Guest speakers offered advice to apprentices and employers alike, as well as celebrated the fantastic achievements through the awards.

One guest speaker was Sarah Fillaudeau, of City & Guilds.

She said: “Apprentices are the next generation of hair and beauty specialists and need to realise that anyone who comes to them can be in any number of situations in their lives. When your customer is in the chair in front of you, they have to feel like they’re the most important person in the world.”

ISA Training is part of the Educ8 Group, which is based at Ystrad Mynach and has operations across Wales and England. Since the start of the year, Educ8 was praised for its work at the annual Sunday Times Best Companies Awards, as well as enjoying huge success and nearly doubling its staff numbers in the process.
