Newport-based Centurion VAT Specialists’ has raised £857 for homeless charity The Wallich at a charity quiz event.

The firm is a long-standing supporter of the charity and regularly organises events to raise funds for it.

The fifth annual charity quiz event held by the firm was held at Cardiff Metropolitan University Students’ Union.

The winners of the night were Acuity Law Practice, with a Centurion VAT team finishing in a close second place.

Andrea Brindley, director at Centurion VAT Specialists, said: “We had a fun-filled evening, bringing our clients together and raising some much-needed funds for The Wallich.

“The money raised will help with the fantastic work that The Wallich do, providing accommodation and support services for homeless and vulnerable people across Wales.”

Mike Walmsley, corporate fundraising manager at The Wallich, said: “The annual Centurion VAT Quiz has become a signature event in The Wallich fundraising calendar. It’s certainly one of my favourite nights and has raised just under £6,000 to support people experiencing homelessness over the last five years. Well done to all teams past and present for your knowledge and generosity.”
