Newport-based full-service design agency Icon Creative Design has appointed three new designers to its studio.

Adam Harvey, Chloe Greenway and Olivia Thomas, who all studied at University of South Wales, are currently working remotely, but this hasn’t stopped the agency, which has its studio in Bassaleg, from developing its pool of skilled designers.

Icon, which is a regular sponsor of the South Wales Argus Business Awards, has seen growth in the education sector with the welcoming of new clients including Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine (LSTM), Kings College London, Bassaleg High School and Fynonne House School.

The agency, which has been instrumental in many of Newport’s key regeneration projects and prides itself on its local connections, recently completed a rebrand for Newport-based Ballet Cymru, as well as developing a portal for Wales wide dance initiative, DUETS which launches this month.

The agency continues to provide creative branding for Westfield Health British Transplant Games which is planned to take place in Leeds this year, a partnership that was established when the annual event was welcomed to Wales in 2019.

Managing director and business founder Androulla Webb said: "We’re delighted to be in a position to expand our team of designers.

"In response to the changing nature of consumer behaviour, 2020 saw an increased demand in developing digital and social media campaigns for our clients and we were able to help independents and large businesses alike refresh, reposition and connect with their audiences and stakeholders in an intelligent and creative approach."

The design agency which recently celebrated its 20th year in business has a reputation for appointing Welsh-based designers and continues to sponsor the Young Entrepreneur of the Year category of the South Wales Argus Business Awards.
