Sara Uren, senior associate solicitor at Harding Evans Solicitors, Newport, is a creative baker when not practicing law...

I’ve always been creative and enjoyed cooking and baking but took this to the next level when my sister asked if I wanted to design and make her wedding cake.
That was in 2010 and I’ve not looked back since.
I was thrilled when I successfully turned a hobby into a small business which I set up on Facebook called Cwtchalicious.
In 2012 I hired a stall at a local wedding fair which saw me fully booked for the following two summers creating original designs.
Since having my two daughters, however, I’ve not been able to make as many cakes but I still feel the need to tap into that creativity outside of work.
I’ve recently started developing my food photography and food styling skills and I’m currently trying to grow a “foodie” Instagram page.
I’m currently participating in a photography challenge set up by one of the most popular food photography accounts. I’m hoping to then set up and online food blog in the second half of 2018. I’ve also registered interest to attend a one-day patisserie course at the Le Cordon Bleu in London.
I feel really proud of what I’ve achieved over the years. I think the highlight has to be my daughter’s fifth birthday cake which was a three foot tall elephant! It’s still my favourite to date and it’s the cake that’s most commented on.
