FIVE minutes with Judith Dudley who, with her husband Colin, owns Parva Farm Vineyard in Tintern.

If you had to be stuck in a lift with someone, who would it be and why?

My husband Colin, however, I am terrified of being stuck in a lift, so I would need him to keep me calm!

What is your biggest fear?

See the previous answer.

Do you have any superstitions?

No.

If you could have only one song on your iPod, what would it be and why?

Jerusalem – I thought about a Dylan or Meatloaf song or Land of Hope & Glory but Jerusalem has more memories for me – my dad was in a choir when I was young and he used to sing it. Also it was one of the hymns at my first wedding.

I used to be president of the WI when I lived in Buckinghamshire and, of course, we used to sing it there. It is a very rousing yet emotional song.

What’s the most expensive thing you’ve bought, not including property?

My car, after that, a horse for one of my daughters.

What’s the best piece of advice you’ve been given?

‘Forgive & forget’ – it’s what my mum used to say and, though it is sometimes difficult, it is much better than bearing a grudge which makes you feel bad about yourself as well as others, and really serves no purpose as it won’t change anything.

What’s your indulgence?

Good quality dark chocolate.

What item could you not live without?

There is probably nothing I could not live without if necessary. People are far more important to me than possessions.

If you could change one thing about yourself, what would it be and why?

I would like to be braver about physical things. I would love to go skiing, skating, white-water rafting or hang gliding as my daughters have done, but I’m just too scared!

Where are you next going on holiday?

Not booked yet but I think it will be Northern Cyprus where it should be warm but not too hot (as we usually holiday in the winter).
