TAILOR Andy Casey has been charged with making sure the team are dressed to impress by designing their official suits.

Mr Casey, 50, has previously tailored Cardiff Blues rugby team's suits before their 2010 European Challenge Cup triumph over Toulon, but he has little doubt as to which will rank as his proudest achievement. He said: "I've done a few of the rugby clubs in the past like Gloucester, Bath and the Blues but obviously with Newport being my local team it is that much more special. I am hugely proud to have been involved," he said.

Mr Casey, who runs Suits at Work from his Christchurch home, steered well clear of Liverpool's 1996 FA Cup final nightmare in cream and went for a more sophisticated combination of a charcoal grey suit with a white shirt and traditional County black and amber ties.

And he revealed the players had a bit of fun at the fitting, adding: "I told the lads all they needed to bring was a pair of shoes as we were sorting the rest. And sure enough one of the players turned up in just a pair of shoes!"

Now Mr Casey hopes to head to Wembley today to see County lift the cup.
