Mr H Roland ap Watcyn seems to have misconstrued my letter. I said Labour and trade union movement, regarding a shared history, not nation states. Regarding his point about shared history of slave and owner, a more apt description would be oppressor and oppressed. Equality does not mean ‘sameness’, and do you mean liberty of choice for all, or just for those that can afford it, as we see today? We make our own history, and it is socially and morally essential that the destiny of Wales is determined by the Welsh people.
